Guided Tour of the City with Enrique

Today was the first really “tourist” activity for us, and one that we tend to undertake any time we go someplace new and exciting – we spent the day with a guide to learn all about where we were.  Thus, our original driver (from the airport) was waiting for the two of us outside our hotel at 10:00 this morning, along with Enrique, who was to be our guide.

Over the day we learned that Enrique has 2 brothers, his dad runs a hardware store started by his grandfather and his mom is a pediatrician.  He’s married and his wife works a similar business but from the other end – she books tours for people wanting to go places – and they have 2 children, 4 and 7.  They weathered the pandemic at his dad’s “country home” farm outside of Buenos Aires.

Oh, and he spoke excellent English, although at times faster than LJ’s Oklahoma ears could take in!
